Each set includes 20 coins—10 struck at the Philadelphia Mint that are housed in a blue folder and 10 struck at the Denver Mint that are housed in a red folder.

The 2018 Mint Set included the ninth annual release of five different America the Beautiful Quarters honoring: Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan, Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in Wisconsin, Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota, Cumberland Island National Seashore in Georgia, and Block Island National Wildlife Refuge in Rhode Island.

The set further included a Native American Dollar with a reverse design depicting Jim Thorpe, with the foreground elements highlighting his football and Olympic achievements. The inscriptions are “JIM THORPE,” “WA-THO-HUK” (his native name), “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” and “$1.”

Finally, these popular sets also include that year’s Kennedy Half Dollar, Roosevelt Dime, Jefferson Nickel, and Lincoln Cent. Each of these coins is produced on special coin presses that use greater force than the presses used for circulation coins, resulting in coins that are of superior quality than those that circulate.
